Week Preview

By Chris

Usually, I wait for the trips to begin to preview the week . . . . this time, an advance preview:. This week, it's off to Washington on Tuesday. I'll get a chance to meet with the staffs of Rep. Forbes, Sen. Warner and Sen. Allen to talk cancer-related issues and spend a day with the National Cancer Institute leadership, and tour the operation there. The people from day one control the money for the people in day two to do their work. It's sort of proven that more money equals quicker advances and more lives saved. In the end, we want the day two people to have more money from the day one people to save more lives, more quickly. Pretty heady stuff for a little 'ol Norfolk Highlands boy. Then it's off to Atlanta from DC until Friday, where we'll make plans to bring thousands to DC in September, from every congressional district, to fight cancer.

I know some of my co-laborers in the fight check this out. Grow not weary. The stuff we're doing is making a difference (check out the historic new stats this year of lives saved!: click here).
